Biller, Sachs, Raio & Zito is dedicated to providing professional, reliable and cost efficient representation. Our clientele encompasses a wide range of individuals and professionals, including many small and large business organizations.
Biller, Sachs, Raio & Zito is a partnership including, The Biller Law Firm, Attorney Jon Biller's original firm established in 1987, and Attorney Jeffrey Sachs who is a third generation legal advisor with over 25 years of experience. Attorney Frank Raio joined our firm in 1993 and became a partner in 1999. Attorney Louise Zito joined our firm as a partner in 2003.
Our firm currently consists of six attorneys providing diverse legal services to meet all of our client's needs. We are located in Hamden, Connecticut with a satellite office in Branford, Connecticut. Our attorneys are admitted to practice law in the States of Connecticut, New York and Georgia; as well as the United States District Court. Additionally, Attorney Doreen Bonadies is of counsel to our firm and is admitted to practice law in Florida and Attorney Nicholas Sekas is of counsel to our firm and is admitted to practice law in New Jersey.
In an ongoing effort to better serve our clients, we are continually upgrading all of our resources. Members of our firm are active in many professional associations and civic organizations and frequently serve as guest speakers in their respective practice areas.

- Litigation includes the representation of clients in general tort liability, negligence, breach of contract, worker's compensation, family, employment, product liability, insurance coverage, and professional malpractice in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and related Federal District Courts.
- Insurance Law concentrates on complex insurance litigation matters not only in Connecticut, but throughout the United States and internationally as well.
- Family Law practice includes divorce through litigation, mediation and collaborative divorce, as well as pre and post dissolution issues.
- Commercial Transactions encompasses the organizational, financing, acquisition, merger, sale, and planning needs of our clients through representation in general business, corporate, banking, employment, and commercial real estate matters.
- Estates and Probate include Advance Directives, Conservatorships, Last Will and Testaments, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Living Wills.
- Employment law covers the laws that control employer/employees relationships. Labor Law includes the representation of small labor associations during contract negotiations, as well as mediation, arbitration, and representation through the grievance process.
- Personal Injury emphasizes the representation of individual clients who have claims for injuries resulting from accidents, malpractice and all other areas in which they have been victimized or injured.
- Residential Real Estate encompasses residential real estate contracts, purchases, sales, refinances, reverse mortgages, new construction, boundary disputes and other related matters.
- Small Business Law includes the establishing of policies and procedures concerning the conduct of your employees, guidelines for discipline and termination, as well as other contractual matters.
- Workers Compensation includes the representation of injured workers in their claims for disability benefits and payment for medical treatment.
Our attorneys utilize a team approach toward case resolution; relying on each other, our law clerks, and legal staff for assistance. We also employ the services of accountants, engineers, adjusters and other consultants, as needed, in order to meet the specific needs of our clients.
It is our practice to assign an attorney, usually a partner, to each matter brought in to our firm. That attorney has an ongoing responsibility for that matter until its ultimate resolution. It is also our practice to insure that the responsible attorney maintains continual contact with our client.
When possible, we attempt to avoid litigation to resolve our client's concerns so that we may provide them with the timeliest and most cost efficient representation. In spite of this, our firm takes great pride in our trial record and willingness to stand behind our clients and to litigate to the fullest extent of the law when necessary. We have a successful trial record and have argued several appeals before the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts.
